What is technical theater?
Technical Theater, also called Stagecraft, is a generic term referring to the technical aspects of theatrical, film, and video production. It includes, but is not limited to, constructing and rigging scenery, hanging and focusing of lighting, design and procurement of costumes, makeup, and recording and mixing of sound.

What does Backstage Presence, Inc. do?
Backstage Presence, Inc. partners with its clients to scope out and anticipate crew needs for upcoming productions. This scope includes: The types of skills needed , the size of the crew desired, and the timeframe the crew will be needed.
Once this has been established, Backstage Presence, Inc. will locate the best available crew resources based on the scope defined, and put the crew together. Our resources come from all disciplines of technical theater, including electrics, lighting, sound, fabrics and wardrobe and properties. We also have excellent resources trained in the area of Stage Management.
